Fall Clinics Offer Flu, H1N1 Protection

flu shotThe Sacramento County Public Health Immunization Assistance Program (that’s a mouthful) wants to make sure you get an H1N1 flu shot this year and is offering low costs clinics to make sure you can afford to do so. The closest clinic to the Pocket area is on Thursday, November 5 at the Pannell Center, 2450 Meadowview Road. (Click here for a map.)

Health workers say influenza can be serious for anyone older than 50 years old or younger than 18. (Your child must be at least 6 months old to get a shot.) Apparently the H1N1 flu virus is going around along with the seasonal flu this fall, so health worker recommend you get immunized for both.

The November 5 clinic runs from 10am to 2pm and you will have to spend $10 for the shot. (Another $4o if you also want pneumonia vaccination.)
