The Sacramento Police Department this morning released information about a rash of burglaries in the Pocket and Greenhaven neighborhoods. For the last week burglars have broken into at least 15 home through garage side doors and, in a few cases, windows.

The people whose homes were robbed say the thieves broke in as early as 6:30am and as late as 10:40pm. Neighbors of two of the homes described one suspect seen at each house: a young, skinny dark-skinned man 5 feet 10 inches tall. Officers say they are catching burglars directly because of neighbors who report suspicious activity. So, keep an eye on your neighbors homes and call 911 if you see anything out of the ordinary. The department has assigned extra officers to patrol the Pocket area to catch the burglars.
