... so when will someone else stock the store at Riverside and Florin?

I found a little more today regarding the disposition of the space where the Nugget Market used to be at the corner of Riverside Boulevard and Florin Road. I spoke with a property manager with Duckett Wilson which, it turns out, manages only half of the property. In fact, they manage all the shops east of the former Nugget. The space where the Nugget used to be and all the shops on the west side of the mall are owned by another company and managed by Anderson and Associates.

Jessica with Duckett Wilson told me she would love to have another anchor store in place and her company would gladly help pay to upgrade the architecture and modernize the mall but only if the other owners did the same. Good to know … if another store ever ends up taking over the space.

I then caught up with the woman who manages the property with Anderson and Associates who immediately referred me to the attorney for the property managers, Calvin Slater. (It was clear she wanted to answer no questions about the property.) I left a message for Mr. Slater and will move on another lead I got courtesy of fellow Pocket resident “Tom.” (Hopefully more on that tomorrow.)
